Hope for Shining Stars (H4SS – S4SK) supports children and young people in Myanmar whose schooling has been interrupted by poverty.
H4SS – S4SK uses an adapted education programme to improve the life chances of up to 300 young people. Manual subjects are included on the curriculum to give the children confidence for their future careers. H4SS – S4SK also supports the young people after they have finished their non-formal classes, for example by making it possible for them to do apprenticeships as graphic designers or mechanics, or with scholarships for studying law or music. The organisation also trains teachers, focusing on lessons where the child is at the centre and active learning is promoted.
