Anna Coendet

Anna Coendet loved skiing as a child. When she was in the fifth year of school she swapped to snowboarding, like a lot of people. Then when she was finishing school and studying at university she didn’t have enough time or money for winter sports. Now, Anna’s back on skis, with snowboarding a distant memory. And why? Yani and Taya. Anna is not only their mum but also their ski instructor. Sport has taught her to persevere and to see things through to the end, says Anna, who is responsible for Integration at SAD. As a talented sportswoman (her expression in the photo doesn’t take away from the quality of her position), sport and play also gave her social recognition and self-confidence – as well as friends and a network that she can still build on today. And not only with regard to sport.
