Kathleen Woodhouse-Ledermann

Not another holiday photo? No. Not a holiday photo. The sea means home for Kathleen Woodhouse-Ledermann, who grew up on the U.S. Virgin Islands. Kathleen spent who knows how many weekends and days playing on the beaches of Bolongo Bay and the nearby tennis courts. By sailing, swimming and running, she learnt to have confidence in a team and in herself. The discovery that you can learn life skills through sport is something that Kathleen now uses in her development projects, so that children from less privileged parts of the world aren’t left building on sand.
